Travels around Torfaen with the RIVER 2 🏔️

Despite the sensational summer sun that teased the nation in early June, the British Summer returned in all its glory with torrential downpours, blustering winds and just bleak grey skies!

Fortunately... our marketing man Ieuan managed to find a gap in the gloom and headed out across Torfaen to see how the new EcoFlow RIVER 2 would hold up on one of his adventures. 

With so many sites to visit, Ieuan enlisted the help of Mamba Marketing's Senior Content Specialist, Anna. The pair first headed to Cwmbran's Boating Lake for some speed testing. Arriving on his long board, Ieuan was able to sit and set up the RIVER 2 and his MacBook in less than 30 seconds. 

The ease of access to the charge ports on the front of the RIVER 2 means you don't have to get the RIVER 2 out of the storage compartment in the bag to use. 

After the successful timing tests at the Boating Lake, the duo made their way to the Roman Fortress town of Caerleon (Isca to the locals!). Taking in the historic ruins and the beautiful amphitheatre, Ieuan and Anna spent time with the rucksack testing it for comfort, accessibility and storage. With the weather continuing to play ball, they quickly set up within the amphitheatre to check emails. The secure padded sleeve for Ieuan's MacBook is a premium feature, ensuring no damage from the bottles or camera equipment in the main compartment. 

With the amphitheatre soon becoming swarmed by school children and students, Anna and Ieuan made a swift exit and with the time remaining decided to head to the picturesque Llandegfedd Reservoir, Pontypool. The grey skies did little to dampen the duo's mood, and both set up on a picnic bench for half hour to catch up on the morning's miss activities in their respective offices. 

The RIVER 2 only lost 13% all morning, managing to charge:

• Two mobile phones (USB-C)
• Nikon Camera Battery Charger
• Apple MacBook Pro

Managing to cram all the above activities into 120 minutes was a challenge for Ieuan and Anna, but the EcoFlow RIVER 2 never wavered! At just 3.5kg, it never made a dent on Ieuan's back, and the 300W output wasn't pushed by the personal devices.
